Are you sure I’ll get back my computer ?

Even if Protection can help you find your computer back, and that we do everything to help you, it’s possible that Protection fails. In that case, we will entirely refund your license. Simple, isn’t it ?


What are the informations iDeV gets about me ?

As described in the user license, when your computer is not reported as stolen, Protection doesn’t take any information about you - it isn’t even developer for it. In fact, Protection only collects your computer serial number.

When your computer is reported as «Stolen», Protection may collect a lot informations about the stolen computer. that’s the way it works. Please refer to the user license or contact us for any enquiry about this subject.


How to be sure Protection isn’t a «virus» or a «trojan»  ?

First, we are a small and young company. It would be really silly for us to start in the computer industry distributing a dangerous software. But, if you don’t trust Protection, we can, if you request it, send you portions of our source code, so, you’ll find that Protection isn’t suspect at all. Contact us for any details.

It’s very important to download Protection only from trusted sources, like ProtectionApp.com, iDeVSW.com or other trusted software-downloading websites.


Is the connection between Protection and iDeV’s servers encrypted ?

Yes. It’s a new feature in September 2009 version of Protection. All connections are totally encrypted.


How to get refunded ?

When a license has been activated on a computer, we can’t refund it. But, if your license hasn’t been activated, iDeV can refound you upon request, within the 7 days following the purchase.

  1. -For single licenses

If the license hasn’t been activated, contact us to get a refund.

  1. -For volume licenses and Family Pack

If no license of the pack has been activated, contact us to get refunded. If one or more license has been activated, we can’t refund the pack.
